Sinnoh Diary, Part 3

I've arrived in Pastoria City, only to realize that I am completely unprepared to face the gym leader yet. So instead I spent some time checking out the city. I need to spend some serious time training my Pokémon if I'm ever going to be ready to challenge the Pastoria City gym leader. So I headed out of town, following Route 212 back toward Hearthome City.

Along the way, I was surprised to discover the so-called Pokémon Mansion, owned by a rich, old eccentric fellow. He prides himself on his Trophy Garden behind the mansion, which is home to a variety of wild Pokémon. It's a a great place to train your Pokémon, and if you're lucky, you encounter some rare, or at least uncommon, Pokémon. I caught both a Pichu and a Pikachu; I think I'll add that Pikachu to my team.

When I'd had my fill of chasing wild Pokémon, I headed on toward Hearthome City. I encountered a few new trainers along the way, but none too challenging. It is worth noting, however, that a battled an older couple, just outside the mansion grounds, for a fair amount of money. They'll definitely be worth challenging again sometime soon. But for now, I think I'll just go find a place to stay in Hearthome City for a few days. There I can stock up on supplies and spend some time training my team. Maybe make another trip to the Pokémon Mansion.

Then, it's back to Pastoria City, to challenge Crasher Wake...
