After a few necessary preparations I headed to the Veilstone City gym to challenge the gym leader, Maylene. The other trainers in the gym were no problem; I beat them easily. Maylene was tough, I thought I would lose. But utimately her strategy failed and my persistence was rewarded. I received the Cobble Badge and TM60 (Drain Punch) for my trouble.
I was just about ready to set out for Pastoria City when I was sidetracked by my friend Dawn, who carelessly let her Pokédex get stolen by Team Galactic! But it was easy enough to get back from the two Galactic grunts stationed outside the Team Galactic warehouse. I even scored an HM, Fly, inside! Sweet! I quickly taught my Starly the move; now I can travel from town to town more easily. Just in time, too; I heard a rumor about some new information available from the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. I headed to a Pokémon center in order to access a PC. I was able to download a code which unlocked a secret door inside the team Galactic facility in Eterna City. Inside, there was some equipment that enabled my Rotom to change formes! Now it can change forme easily, and in the process learn some powerful new attacks. Which should come in handy soon enough.
Now I'm off to Pastoria City, via Route 214...
